You’ve seen it in Live Oak Park, nestled between Joslyn Center and the ball field.

The original Manhattan Beach Scout House was built by volunteers in 1952. It’s seen the original Pinewood Derby, Eagle ceremonies, Troop meetings, and so much more.

Clearly the facility has outlived its useful life, and it’s on its last legs.

We need to build a new facility for future generations of Scouts—but also to provide additional space for Manhattan Beach’s seniors and the community at large.

Thanks to hundreds of donations from members of the community, local businesses, community service organizations and Scouting groups, Friends of Senior & Scout Community Center has raised over $2.7 Million, and the City of Manhattan Beach has committed an additional $4.6 Million to construct a brand new state-of-the-art structure. A beautiful backdrop for our civic events. A gathering place for our next generation and our greatest generation. And a place that will make our community proud for years to come.

To see the proposed new Senior & Scout Community center come to life, join us on our newest flyover journey!
